Tasty authentic Japanese food. We orderded Ramen and Bento Box, they were both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The team were very friendly and polite. If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese food in Hobart, try this one. However, booking is necessary, they are always full.
I usually enjoy eating at RIN for dinner.
However, I am very disappointed with the delivery I got from RIN today!
I only got 2 small pieces of Octopus and a prawn and seaweed for the Sumiso Ae that cost $17! How ridiculous!!!
Either take that off the menu or stop scamming people!
Other than that the spicy salmon & kaisen chirashi sushi was $29 each was pretty expensive, portion was very small but was still pretty decent.
Seconds thoughts on coming back here again…
Sushi was good, eel and Salmon were fresh. Portion size was smaller than I expected. Ramen was ok in hobart.
Tooooo slooooow, nice place but if you don’t want to wait nearly an hour for a bowl of ramen, go somewhere different.
Great. The best Japanese restaurant in Tasmania so far with my experience. Enjoyed whole time whilst having dinner, just struggled so much choosing the menu so ended up making an order with multiple dishes and pigged out.
Highly recommended.
Delish bento!
- We ordered sashimi pack (12pcs) but it would be better if we order bigger pack as this is kinda not enough for two. Sashimi includes salmon, 2 pcs of octopus, 2pcs of scallops as in the picture. There is no red ginger going with.
- entre bento was totally full with edamame (beans) (they have grounded salt on top so abit salty for me but my friend loves it), takoyaki and seaweed salad (sour tasty to balance other oily dishes). Love the seaweed most!
- another bento had fried chicken (we think so), vego tempura (fried vego) and some pcs sushi (tamago, combined sushi and prawn). The fried chicken was too much flour outside. The tempura was sticked together (maybe because it was too hot after fried and not dry the oil after enough).
Both of bento came with two soup, such a big plus! One miso soup and one soba noodle soup! The best soup ever!
Overall, the experience was great as we love the salad most, but next time we should order the tempura separately.
Have only eaten here once. The nigiri were very small with salmon the palest I've ever seen. The agedashi tofu batter fell apart when touching the soup. Have never experience agedashi tofu like this. Sorry to say Rin it's the worst agedashi tofu I've come across. On a positive note, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the prices are reasonable and it's busy, so they must be doing something right.
Authentic Japanese, staff are super polite and friendly. Reminds me of dining in Japan. Exceptional quality!
